At Mountain Massif, we’re always looking for new ways to help riders become stronger, more confident cyclists. That’s why we’re excited to introduce our brand-new 12-session structured training programme, designed to provide progressive, purposeful training that develops every aspect of your riding.

Created in partnership with Matteo Cigala of Cigala Cycling, the new series takes riders through a carefully planned four-week programme, with three sessions each week. Every workout has been designed with a specific purpose, helping you build fitness steadily while developing the skills and strength needed to become a more complete cyclist.

Across the programme you’ll work through a wide variety of training styles, including Tempo, Sweet Spot, VO₂ Max, Threshold, Torque and Interval sessions. Each workout builds on the previous one, creating a balanced progression that improves endurance, muscular strength, aerobic capacity, cadence control and the ability to produce sustained power when it matters most.

The sessions are suitable for riders looking to add more structure to their indoor training, whether you’re preparing for events, building fitness over the winter, or simply wanting to train with greater purpose.

One of the biggest additions to the programme is increased accessibility for our global community. Every session will now be available three times a day, with rides at 6:15am BST, 6:15pm BST and a brand-new 6:15pm MDT event, making it easier than ever for riders across Europe, Canada and North America to train together.

All sessions will take place on Zwift’s Tempus Fugit course as banded rides, allowing riders of different abilities to stay together while focusing on completing the workout rather than racing one another. As always, the emphasis remains on improving together as a community.

The programme follows a progressive four-week schedule:

Week One introduces Tempo Efforts, Break Simulation and Sweet Spot Training, laying the foundations for sustained power and aerobic fitness.

Week Two builds on that base with Dynamic Efforts, VO₂ Max work and more advanced Tempo sessions to improve acceleration and aerobic power.

Week Three raises the intensity further through Interval Training, sustained Tempo riding and Torque Efforts that develop strength and muscular endurance.

Week Four finishes the block with Threshold Pyramidal efforts, advanced Interval Training and Torque Efforts designed to consolidate the gains made throughout the programme.

Whether you’re new to structured training or already following a training plan, these sessions provide an excellent opportunity to train consistently alongside the Mountain Massif community. You’ll benefit from professionally designed workouts, a supportive environment and the motivation that comes from riding with others who share the same goal—to become stronger cyclists.

We’re looking forward to seeing riders from around the world join the new sessions and take the next step in their cycling journey. Train consistently, enjoy the process and discover just how much you can achieve when you ride with Mountain Massif.
